POOL TRANSITION TO SAYOR (SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK)
The Board of Directors knows how important the pool area is to the community; so, to provide the potential for more flexible pool use and extended swim seasons, the Board has approved for the Covington Woods Pool to be operated as SAYOR (Swim at Your Own Risk).
In light of this major transition, you will see some changes with the registration process and onsite, around the pool area. Some of those changes are:
- NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.
- Each resident will be responsible for themselves, their family, and their guests.
- The diving board and lifeguard chair have been removed to comply with SAYOR operation laws.
- There will be several new signs posted around the pool area, including pool rules. Please read and adhere to them all.
- A new gate access control system will be installed.
- A new pool registration agreement has been implemented. Make sure to complete the agreement and return it by email (vnavarrete@mascapi.com) or by TownSq General Request at www.covingtonwoods.townsq.io to obtain your pool card. You can find the agreement posted below or at www.covingtonwoods.townsq.io.
Please note, annual assessments are still required to be paid to register for pool use. There will not be a decrease in annual assessments related to this transition. Despite the inflation rates we are all feeling, the Board’s goal is to keep assessments reasonable and avoid implementing special assessments and community service fees, if possible. The Board of Directors appreciates all owners and volunteers who have assisted with keeping the Covington Woods pool a focal point for the community. Looking forward to a safe and fun 2024 pool season!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Rachel Rivera at rrivera@mascapi.com or attend the next Board meeting. Board meetings are held the second Monday of each month, 7:00 pm, at the Covington Woods clubhouse.
- Any child under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age
- Each and every person entering the pool must also sign in
- Guest Policy: Registered Covington Woods residents are allowed to bring the same amount of guests as their pool ID cards. Guests will need to provide a guest ticket. There is no charge for guests to enter pool area. Guest tickets may be obtained at the office of MASC Austin Properties, Inc.
RENTERS: Renters must acquire their landlords’ signature for pool ID card registration. Residents will also be required to show proof of residency, i.e., state issued id, utility bill or current lease agreement.
NEW OWNERS: Welcome to the neighborhood! To access the pool, you will need to purchase pool ID cards for each member of your family over the age of 3. Please complete the pool registration form, Pool Use Agreement and Waiver and provide payment to receive pool ID cards.
To obtain pool ID card validation for this pool season, please return the 2023 pool registration form. You can return the registration form by email to vnavarrete@mascapi.com or simply attach your completed form to a General Request on TownSq - www.covingtonwoods.sites.townsq.io.
Covington Woods CA pool card registration will be available on-site on Saturday, May 20, 2023 between the hours of 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the pool area located at 13739 Woodchester Dr., Sugar Land, TX 77478.
Also, pool card registration will be available at the office of MASC Austin Properties, Inc. located at 945 Eldridge Rd. Sugar Land, TX 77478 on the following dates:

Thursday- May 25, 2023 from 9:00 am-7:00 pm
Friday - May 26, 2023 from 9:00 am-7:00 pm
Thursday- June 1, 2023 from 9:00 am-7:00 pm
Saturday June 3, 2023 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm
You also have the option to drop off or mail in your form to 945 Eldridge Rd. Sugar Land, TX 77478; or fax to 713-776-1777.
Our office accepts exact cash or checks made payable to Covington Woods CA. Upon verification of a current account balance, MASC Austin Properties, Inc. will validate your existing pool ID cards or contact you with information needed to provide you with new pool ID cards.
